Malalas visit to Oslo, Norway 14th - 15th June 2014
Malala is globally known as the girl who is fighting for right of girls to education. She was shot by the Taliban, but miraculously survived.

While in Oslo, Malala attend the 14th August Committee's Bridge Building Event between Norway and Pakistan. Here she give a speech on equality, democracy and the right of education for all girls. She had the meeting with H.R.H Crown Price Haakon, President of the Norwegian Parliament Olemic Thomessen, Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende, among others.

Despite the fact that she is only 16 years old, Malala has already done a great deal in the fight for girls right to education. She has made a remarkable impression on me each time I have had the pleasure to meet her, and I look forward to introducing her to more people in Norway during her visit to Oslo, says the President of the Oslo Center, Kjell Magne Bondevik.

The President of the 14th August Committee and Foundation Dialogue for Peace, Mr Aamir Sheikh believes Malala will contribute to place the right of education for all girls higher on the agenda.

I share Malala's view that an education is paramount to change the world for the better. Free compulsory education for all children, and extending the opportunities for girls to attend school in developing countries should be at the core of all political agendas regardless of country of origin.
